• Managing and monitoring the water resources and consumption of the destination,

• Avoiding water consumption by tourism businesses to jeopardize the water requirements of residents

• Developing programs for guests to reuse and reduce laundry such as towels and bed linens, giving clear information to guests arriving at the facilities, offering towels in sufficient quantity and size

• Providing periodical training to personnel for water consumption

• Monitoring and measuring the water consumption. Comparing the consumption per guest and night to the total consumption and number of guest nights

• Monitoring water consumption; daily checks of faucets and toilets by the housekeeping personnel to prevent water leaks; and periodical checks of pipe connections.

• Inspection and maintenance of the water system; equipment such as valves, pipes, pipe insulations, ventilators and heat exchangers shall be regularly inspected by the technical team and the damaged ones shall be maintained.

• Adequate insulation of water pipes; adequately insulating all water pipes to minimize energy waste during heat transfer.

• Installing efficient water faucets, using more efficient faucets with high savings potential

• Taking measures to decrease water consumption, such as regular pool maintenance, installing drainage barriers around the pool to collect and recirculate the overflowing water

• Reducing the water consumed in the toilets, regularly checking and maintaining the toilets.

• Reusing rainwater and gray water in the toilets or garden irrigation.
