Destination Management
• Establishing the necessary management and governance mechanism for the green destination
• Preparing an asset inventory, current situation assessment, tourism impact assessment of the destination; transparency of planning processes; preparing a tourism action plan; identifying main stakeholders
• Developing an up-to-date, publicly available, multi-year tourism policy or strategy that covers environmental, esthetic, social, cultural, economic, quality, health and safety issues
• Ensuring adequate visitor management and identifying the financial strategy to optimize the tourism impacts on the destination's natural, cultural and social assets
• Monitoring destination’s sustainability indicators and developments, reporting them to the public, and reviewing the monitoring system periodically: Transparent Sustainability Reporting
• Developing monitoring and assessment mechanisms, identifying the corrective measures, implementing procedures such as regular communication, and governance reporting
